CUELLAR JOINS HARLINGEN AIRPORT BOARD
Carlos Cuellar, a limited partner and financial advisor with Edward Jones Investments, has been appointed to the Harlingen Airport Board by Mayor Richard Rodriguez. The airport board sets long-range policies and strategies for Valley International Airport, the regions largest passenger and air cargo facility.
Cuellar is an active community leader and currently serves as chairman of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Golf Course Advisory Board for Harlingen and serves as an international council representative for the Rio Grande Council of Boy Scouts of America.
Carlos brings additional strong business skills to our airport board and will help focus the efforts to expand and serve our community, said Mayor Rodriguez. His international experience is an added plus for insight and direction.
Valley International Airport is a key factor in the economic growth of our community and must provide the services we need to support our current carries and attract new business, said Cuellar. My goals for my time on the board include making sure the airport concentrates on security and reliability, attracting new services and maximizing the use of available space at the wonderful facility we already have
Cuellar has been with Edward Jones Investments for six years. He is from Matamoros. MX and received his Bachelors degree in Science from Monterrey Tech in Monterrey, MX in 1979.
Valley International Airport serves over 800,000 passengers a year and is the home for Southwest Airlines, Continental Express, Sun Country Airlines, DHL, Federal Express, UPS, BAX Global and UPS Supply Chain Solutions.
