Continental Airlines Again Ranked No. 1 Most Admired Global Airline

Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) today announced that it was again rated the top airline on FORTUNE magazine's annual airline industry list of Most Admired Global Companies. This is the fourth year that Continental has topped that list. Last week, FORTUNE also announced that Continental was ranked the most admired airline on FORTUNE's annual America's Most Admired airline industry list.

Continental placed No.1 in all categories measured to determine the most admired global airlines: innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, community/environment, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment value, quality of products and services, and globalness. Singapore Airlines was ranked second on the most admired airlines list, followed by Lufthansa Group, British Airways, Air France-KLM Group and Japan Airlines.

Cross-industry rankings placed Continental in the top ten companies in seven out of nine categories, quality of products/services, innovation, people management, globalness, community/environment, use of corporate assets and quality of management.

"My co-workers around the world work hard every day to deliver an outstanding product and I'm proud that their efforts have been recognized," Chairman and CEO Larry Kellner said. "We are honored to have topped both America's Most Admired and Most Admired Global Companies airline industry lists." The rankings are determined in a survey of corporate and airline executives, boards of directors and industry analysts.
