Valley International Airport Names New Marketing Director
Jose A. Mulet brings the experience of eight air carriers to his new position as Director of Marketing for Valley International Airport. Mulet has worked with Delta, Southwest and Mexicana to name a few in a range of positions including marketing, sales, operations and training.
Jose is a tremendous addition to our staff, said Michael Browning, Director of Aviation for Valley International Airport. His knowledge of the aviation industry coupled with his awareness of what needs to happen in our next stage of growth strengthens our business model.
Mulet comes to the Valley from San Antonio and holds a Bachelor Degree in Earth Science from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, a Masters in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle University with Specialization in Aviation Management, and an additional degree from Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico in Business Administration. He is a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The time is right for our airport to expand services and market its full potential as the airport of choice for business or leisure travel, said Mulet. The entire Valley region is in a solid growth mode and our role providing the transportation for our residents and cargo for our businesses is critical.
Mulet has served as an Advisory Board member for the Palo Alto College Aviation Department in San Antonio; committee member for the San Antonio-Mexico Friendship Council; Adjunct Professor at Embry-Riddle University; Director of Training for Tejas Airlines; marketing committee member for the STAR Global Alliance; a member of the San Antonio Greater Chamber of Commerce Airport Task Force committee; regional sales manager and regional vice president of sales for Europe and Asia for Mexicana Airlines.
